John Sanseverino is the Operations and Business Manager for the Climate Change Science Institute (CCSI) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. He earned his Ph.D. in Molecular Biology from Lehigh University in 1989 and then joined the Center for Environmental Biotechnology at the University of Tennessee (UT) initially as a post-doc. At UT, he earned the rank of Research Associate Professor and was the Managing Director for the Center for Environmental Biotechnology. During that time, he was also the co-founder of two start-up ventures. In 2010, Dr. Sanseverino joined the Tennessee Solar Institute as Director of Programs. At TSI, he was responsible for developing grant programs, outreach, workforce development activities, and building industry and partnerships. He joined CCSI in the summer of 2012. His primary job responsibilities include communications, strategic planning, and proposal and budget development. Dr. Sanseverino is also a certified project management professional.
