Jonathan Harbor

Professor and Associate Vice Provost, Purdue University

Dr. Jon Harbor is a Professor in the Department of Earth, Atmospheric, and Planetary Sciences at Purdue University, where he also serves as Director of Digital Education and Associate Vice Provost for Teaching and Learning. Jon has graduate degrees in Geography (University of Colorado) and Geology (University of Washington), and his research group includes a focus on understanding and managing the hydrologic and geomorphic impacts of land use change, as well as research in geoscience education and glacial geomorphology. Jon was the founding director of Purdue’s Global Sustainability Institute, and has served in a wide range of leadership roles at Purdue. He is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Council on Education, and the Royal Geographical Society (UK), and has served as a Fulbright Senior Scholar (New Zealand) and a Marie Curie Fellow (Sweden).
